LED by rising Filipino cue artist AJ Manas, Team Asia successfully defended its crown as it defeated Team Rest of the World (ROW) in the 2025 Reyes Cup on Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The 19-year-old Manas powered Team Asia’s 11-3 win over ROW to pocket its second straight crown.

Manas turned heads in the tournament, highlighting his stellar run with a huge win over world No. 1 Fedor Gorst en route to winning the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award.

Manas and veteran Carlo Biado helped seal Team Asia’s title run by defeating Gorst and German Moritz Neuhausen in Match 14, 5-2.

Manas and Biado raced to a 2-0 lead but Gorst and Neuhausen threatened within 2-3. Manas and Biado, however, did not panic, winning the next two cracks to ice the championship.

Team Asia's championship victory was also aided by Singapore's Aloysius Yapp's 5-1 beating of Jayson Shaw earlier.

Yapp was the MVP in the previous edition.(CCM)
