A SPANISH man has achieved a Guinness World Record for having the largest collection of mobile phones, amassing an impressive 3,615 unique models.

Wences Palau Fernandez from Barcelona's interest in mobile phones began in 1999 when he received a gray Nokia 3210 for Christmas. This sparked a passion for the brand, leading him to start collecting Nokia phones in 2008.

Initially focused on models he could not afford earlier, Fernandezโ€™s collection quickly grew to include phones from other brands.

What began as a small collection eventually filled an entire room in his home.

By 2018, Fernandez had amassed over 700 different Nokia models and expanded his collection to include brands such as Siemens, NEC, Motorola, Blackberry, Samsung, HTC, and Apple.

He also acquired rare prototypes and limited edition models, including the Nokia 3220 Star Wars Episode III series with versions like Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Fernandez resumed his collection with the goal of acquiring all Nokia models and prototypes, including those never officially released. He documents his progress on his website, Nokia Project Dream, and continues to add to his collection.

โ€œMy current collection is the result of a lot of perseverance and financial effort, if you are a collector you will know well what I mean," he said in Guinness World Records article

This achievement surpasses the previous record of 3,456 held by Romanian collector Andrei Bilbie Argentis in 2023.(MyTVCebu)
