FERDINAND Alexander "Sandro" Marcos, the eldest son of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, debunked online reports that he is planning to run for president in the 2028 elections.

In denying the report, the current Representative of Ilocos Norte’s 1st District warned the public against the dangers of misinformation.

In a report by Manila Bulletin, Sandro Marcos addressed the false report, which was originally shared by a page named "Tee Media Corp."

The viral post claimed that Sandro had announced his candidacy for the 2028 elections.

Marcos posted a screenshot of the post, prominently stamping it with "FAKE NEWS" to refute the misinformation.

"Ingat po tayo sa misinformation campaign in the last few days," Marcos wrote, urging Filipinos to verify information before sharing.

The controversial post quickly spread across social media, amassing thousands of reactions, comments, and shares. (Justin Aquino, BiPSU Comm Intern)
