EIGHT senatorial candidates supported by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. continue to dominate in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
Commissioned by the Stratbase Group, the poll, conducted between January 17 and 20 this year, surveyed 1,800 registered voters and has a ยฑ2.31% margin of error for national results.
Survey respondents were asked whom they would likely vote for if the senatorial election were held during the survey period.
ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo remains in the lead with 45% of the vote, followed by former Senator Tito Sotto, who secured 38%, up from 31% in December.
Former Senator Lito Lapid made the biggest leap, moving from 11th place in December with 23% to a strong 3rd-4th place with 37%.
Lapid shares the spot with Senator Bong Go, whose rating also increased by 5%.
Former Senator Ping Lacson also gained ground, rising two spots from 7th to 5th with 35%, while broadcaster Ben Tulfo maintained his position at 6th.
Meanwhile, Senator Pia Cayetano dropped from 3rd-4th to 7th-8th with 33%, tied with former Senator Manny Pacquiao, who moved up from 8th-9th last month.
Makati Mayor Abby Binay climbed from 10th to 9th, while Senator Bato Dela Rosa made a notable improvement, ranking 10th with 30%, up from 12th-14th in December.
On the other hand, Senator Bong Revilla saw the most significant decline, dropping from 2nd with 33% in December to 11th-13th with 29%.
TV host Willie Revillame also experienced a setback, falling from 8th-9th to 11th-13th.
Former Senator Kiko Pangilinan entered the top 12, with a rise to 29%, tying Revilla and Revillame.
Meanwhile, Senator Imee Marcos dropped out of the top 12, falling to 14th place with 28%.(CMM)
