KINGDOM of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy has been rushed to the hospital after experiencing difficulty in breathing.

According to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesman Supt. Jayrex Bustinera, Quiboloy was confined at the Rizal Medical Center (RMC) upon the recommendation of the facility’s doctor due to inadequate facilities.

The initial diagnosis of the physician attending to Quiboloy was community-acquired pneumonia,

The KOJC leader was then rushed to the hospital by BJMP Pasig City Jail Dormitory personnel on Saturday, January 18.

Bustinera also assured the public that Quiboloy would be treated like any other persons deprived of liberty (PDL) “in accordance with the law and jail regulations” without special treatment.

Quiboloy surrendered to authorities in September last year.

Quiboloy was charged with multiple criminal charges, including human trafficking and child abuse before the different courts.

The Senate issued an arrest warrant against him for refusal to attend Senate inquiry on trafficking allegations by former members of KOJC.

The self-proclaimed “appointed Son of God” had a warrant of arrest issued by the Davao Regional Trial Court because of child abuse; Pasay City Court also issued an arrest warrant against Quiboloy because of a human trafficking charge.

He is also on the list of “most wanted” persons of the US Federal Bureau of Investigations for other charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion; sex trafficking of children; conspiracy; and bulk cash smuggling in the US District Court for the Central District of California. Quibology denied these accusations.

After he surrendered last year, Quiboloy was detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center at Camp Crame before he was transferred to the Pasig City Jail.(LAO)
