LUKA Doncic did almost everything and the LA Lakers pulled off a critical win, thrashing the Minnesota Timberwolves, 94-85, in Game 2 of their Western Conference first-round best-of-seven playoff series on Wednesday (Philippine time), April 23.
Luka Doncic, the Slovenian superstar that the Lakers acquired in a mega blockbuster deal with the Dallas Mavericks, finished with 31 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, and a block as the Lakers led by as many as 22 points to secure the series-tying victory.
Minnesota won Game 1, 117-95, but struggled mightily in Game 2. The Wolves, however, will have a chance to seize control of the series when they host Games 3 and 4.
LeBron James also had a near triple-double, tallying 21 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and a block.
Austin Reaves added 16 markers for the third-seeded Lakers, who also got 11 markers from Rui Hachimura.
The fourth-ranked Wolves were led by Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards, who scored 27 and 25 points, respectively. No other Minnesota player scored in twin digits as the Wolves hit just five three-pointers after making 21 in Game 1.(CCM)
