A LONE bettor from Metro Manila is starting 2025 as a multimillionaire after winning the P314-million Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot in the Sunday night, January 5, draw.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) confirmed that the winner placed the bet at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, correctly choosing the numbers 36-46-16-19-23-27.
The total jackpot prize was P314,591,292.80.
The winner has one year to claim the prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. To do so, they must present the winning ticket along with two valid IDs.
However, as per regulations, lotto winnings above PHP10,000 are subject to a 20% tax.
If the prize remains unclaimed after one year, it will be forfeited, the PCSO warned.
The Sunday night draw also saw significant wins for other bettors. Twenty-two players won P120,000 each for matching five of the six winning numbers, while 1,470 others secured PHP2,000 each for four correct digits.
In addition, 33,697 participants received PHP100 each for matching three digits.
The Ultra Lotto 6/58 is held three times a week — every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday — with the proceeds supporting the government’s charity initiatives.
PCSO continues to encourage the public to participate in these games, highlighting that a portion of the revenues is directed toward various charitable programs aimed at helping those in need across the country.(CMM)
