GUEST team Eastern continued to impress, hacking out an 84-75 victory over the Blackwater Bossing on Tuesday night, December 10, in the 49th PBA Commissionerโs Cup at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
With the win, the Hong Kong-based Eastern improved to 4-1 (win-loss), good for solo second place in the team standings behind the unbeaten GlobalPort Batang Pier (4-0).
Debuting import Chris McLaughlin made an instant impact as HE powered Eastern with 32 points and 23 rebounds.
The 6-foot-10 McLaughlin, who replaced the injured Cameron Clark, is also the import of Eastern in the East Asia Super League where he averages 22 points and 13 rebounds in two games.
Backing McLaughlin were Glen Yang and Kobey Lam, who scored 14 and 10 markers, respectively.
George King erupted for a game-high 41 points but no Blackwater local scored in twin digits as the Bossing remained winless after three games.(CCM)
