ONE of PMI Boxing Stable’s top fighters will start his 2026 campaign with a tough assignment abroad as Virgel “Valiente” Vitor travels to Russia to face an unbeaten hometown bet.

The PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions announced that Vitor will face Artur Subkhankulov on Feb. 13, marking the third time that the Boholano boxer will be fighting on foreign soil.

Vitor split his first two fights abroad, winning over Campee Phayom in Bangkok, Thailand in May 2023 to wrest the World Boxing Council Asian Silver Super Featherweight title.

The 28-year-old Vitor was unsuccessful in his second international fight, losing to Toshihiro Suzuki in Japan in Aug. 2023.

A native of Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Vitor is on a three-fight winning streak, scoring a string of wins that hiked his record to 24W-4L with 17 of his victories coming via knockout (KO).

It has yet to be announced if the upcoming duel will be a title match but so much is at stake for the 34-year-old Subkhankulov.

Subkhankulov will be putting his unbeaten slate on the line as he kicked off his pro career with 10 straight wins, including four KO victories.

Subkhankulov will be facing a Filipino opponent for the first time as he guns to keep his hot pro career start after a solid run in the amateur ranks that saw him compile 78 wins in 110 fights.(CCM)
