MULTI-AWARDED American actor Al Pacino shared his views on what happens after death as he revealed that he nearly died due to COvid-19 in 2020.
Recently interviewed by The New York Times and People Magazine, the Oscar-winning actor recounted how he felt “unusually not good” before developing a fever and severe dehydration.
He recalled that he was sitting in his house and there was a moment when he felt that he had no pulse.
Fortunately, an ambulance arrived shortly after, and Pacino regained consciousness surrounded by six paramedics and two doctors.
The 84-year-old actor described that it was shocking to open his eyes and see that everyone around him had outfits that looked like they were from outer space.
In his conversation with People, Pacino expressed confusion upon waking, questioning what had happened.
He credited his “great assistant” for calling for help immediately after a nurse reported that he had no pulse.
When asked if the health scare changed his approach to life, Pacino stated, “Not at all.”
However, he acknowledged that the experience left a lasting impression on him.
Currently preparing for a movie adaptation of Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” he noted that the experience had a metaphysical impact.
Pacino’s profound experience is detailed in his upcoming autobiography, “Sonny Boy,” which is set to be published on Tuesday.(CMM)
