94 wanted persons in CV fall in 7-day police operation

CLOSE to 100 wanted persons were arrested in an intensified manhunt and law enforcement operations in Central Visayas.

The Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) said that the series of police operations from March 8-14 also led to the arrest of 261 individuals facing various charges.

In the campaign against wanted persons, 10 of the 94 arrested individuals were considered “most wanted persons” facing serious charges.

The seven-day police operation also resulted in the confiscation of 270 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.8 Million.

Also, 38 unlicensed firearms, three explosives, and various ammunition were seized while 13 persons were arrested in the campaign against loose firearms.

Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, chief of PRO-7, commended the region’s police operating units for sustaining the anti-criminality efforts that will help achieve a peaceful community.

“Through our intensified operations, we continue to arrest wanted persons and crack down on illegal drugs, loose firearms, and illegal gambling. These efforts show our strong commitment to keeping Central Visayas safe,” said Maranan.(CDB)
