5 fall in Bohol, Cebu drug busts
FIVE persons, including a job-order (JO) employee, were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Bohol and Cebu.
In Tagbilaran City, Bohol, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) raided a suspected drug den that led to the arrest of four persons past 1 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27.
Among those arrested was Cyril, 37, the alleged maintainer of the drug den in Barangay Cogon.
Also arrested were Richel, Manuelito, a 54-year-old JO employee of the provincial government and Reynan, a 32-year-old delivery rider.
Seized during the operation were 21 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P142,800.
Around 5 p.m. also on Friday, PDEA-7 agents and operatives of the Consolacion police arrested a 33-year old woman in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cansaga, Consolacion, Cebu.
Leia Alcantara, spokesperson of PDEA-7, said Cindy is considered as a high-value individual.
Seized from the woman was 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000.
Alcantara added that Cindy’s husband was previously arrested also for drug charges.(CDB)
