BOYSEN Paints, Landlite, and SR & T Industrial Supply continued to lead the ongoing Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 8th Corporate Cup after they chalked up separate wins over the weekend at the Game Changer Sports Complex in Mandaue City.

Boysen Paints pulled off a close 92-88 win over EZ Pavers, SR & T Industrial Supply turned back Modern Windows, 87-82, while Landlite prevailed over Elite Athletics, 82-73.

With the victories, Boysen, Landlite, and SR & T found themselves locked in a three-way tie at the No. 1 spot in the team standings with identical 4-1 (win-loss) records.

Lemuel Aspactio fired 25 points, while Joseph Cabigas and Carlos Baltar delivered double-double performances to lead Boysen. Cabigas collected 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Baltar finished with 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Scott Nagel and Mark Bajenting came up with big numbers but EZ Pavers still crashed to 3-2. Nagel piled up 27 points and 15 rebounds while Bajenting racked up 26 markers and 13 boards.

SR & T, on the other hand, leaned on Chester Hinagdanan, who logged 23 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, one steal, and one assist. Michael Judilla chipped in 18 points, while Criz Matunog and Adrian Halagay added a combined 26 points.

John Therese Buhawe had 30 points and 12 rebounds for Modern Windows, which fell to 2-3.

Powering Landlite was Fritz Jay Devenadera, who came up with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Kiro Canillo fired 24 points but Elite Athletics stayed winless after five games.

In another match, Corr Chem secured its second win in five games after dominating Davies Paints, 102-77.

Davies Paints dropped to 1-4.(CCM)
