TWO persons were arrested for the alleged involvement in a foiled bomb attack on Lady Gaga's concert on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
In a report by BBC, Brazilโs Ministry of Justice and Public Security said one of the suspects was the mastermind, who was arrested on Sunday, April 4, for illegal possession of firearms.
The other suspect was a teenager, who was arrested for storing child pornography in Brazil.
The suspects had identified themselves as "Little Monsters", who plotted to target the concert using improvised explosives just to get more notoriety on social media.
Police reports said the group has a history of spreading hate speeches online targeting children, adolescence and the LGBTQ+ community along with advocating self harm and violence as a form of belonging among young people.
Over two million people attended the free concert.
The police conducted strict security measures for the concert. Over 5,000 personnel were deployed and attendees were required to pass through metal detectors and facial recognition cameras.(John Clyron Matillano, CTU-TC Intern)
